Sustainable development

When studying economy one come across green economy and ethics where there is obvious proof that our society can not go on and live like we do today if we want to preserve the environment for our future generations.

We do not have to buy fresh air to be able to breath, today, But in a 100 years that might be the case. The forests are renewable if we can make sure not to cut all of them down before new ones are able to grow. Oil and metals are on the other side resources that are not renewable. To get 1 gram of gold one has to smash 10 000 ton of mountains, that is just such a waste!

We need to work on maintaining an environment that makes the economy grow or stay steady but at the same time leave room for a sustainable future. Or is that even possible?
